Interior Designer: Elly Chronakis, R.I.D.
Design Firm: Earls Design
Design Team:
Elly Chronakis, R.I.D.
Marlis Joller, R.I.D.
Jennifer Hoffbeck, Intern IDIBC
Earls’ Dadeland County, Florida is the brand’s first restaurant in the eastern U.S. market. The design team strove to create a space that complemented Miami’s vibrant culture and distinct architecture and design scenes. Earls values honesty and authenticity; beliefs that are reflected through the choice of materials, from marble slabs, white oak and walnut, to hot rolled steel, vintage leathers, and board formed concrete. A commissioned art installation, inspired by Miami’s art deco history, provides a dynamic focal point in the space, and a grid of light in the dining room illuminates the wood ceiling to create a warm ambiance. The open kitchen connects to the dining room, and a peek-a-boo view from the mall allows guests to observe the chefs creating the dishes. In the bar, a fixture sparkles and plays to the dynamic energy of the lounge. Folding glass doors and moveable glass walls create an indoor/outdoor space that is an essential element for Miami’s climate and clientele. This is the second highest grossing restaurant in the Earls portfolio.
